This dataset contains compensation and expense summary records from the monthly reports of lobbying activity. One record is included for each client that paid compensation or incurred expenses during the filing period. If the lobbyist firm themselves incurred any expenses not reimbursed by a client, a record is included summarizing the lobbyist firm's expenses. If a lobbyist reported no compensation or expenses on the report, no records will be in this dataset. Records are included for a period of ten years, beginning in January, 2016. The date is determined as the filing period of the report, not the date received. Records are included for the full year so for example, all 2017 records will be included until the entire year 2017 falls outside the 10 year time span.

This data set is an index of all PDC Candidate and Committee Registrations starting with 2006. Each record contains a link to view the actual document or a link on how to request the document.
The primary purpose of this dataset is for data consumers to examine the registrations of campaigns and committees. Refer to other dataset to get actual dollar values for any of the reports referenced herewith.
For Continuing committees and Surplus committees the committee id is the same year after year.
All other committees are single year committees and will have a new committee_id representing a new registration for a different election year.

This data set contains a summary of information about candidate campaigns and political committees by election year. For candidate campaigns and single-year/election committees, a single record is provided that covers all activity of the campaign for the given election year. Information for continuing political committees is summarized by calendar/reporting year. The data set covers that prior 16 years plus the current election year. The data are compiled from the campaign reports deposit (C3), campaign summary reports (C4), campaign registrations (C1/C1pc) and candidate declarations and elections data provided to the PDC by the Washington Secretary of State. Records are updated in near real-time, typically less than 2 minutes from the time the campaign submits new data.
